Amsterdam Stag Do
My second time in this chilled out city and what a different experiences there are to have here. Last time round was the romantic side of town. All the museums, art galleries and historic landmarks. In twined by the beautiful canals and an endless choice of restaurants make Amsterdam an interesting place for both couples and groups of friends. This time round was a stag do, 7 of us in total, 2 groups of friends that managed to mix fairly well. Two nights was plenty though and we pretty much stayed in the red light district the whole time. Not that any of us dared to go through the windowed doors. Still plenty of bikes to dodge, people smoking to avoid and coffee shops to hide in as I found on my last visit. I would go back again, just not sure who with this time!
Yalding, Kent
Very pretty going from Halling village through Maidstone city to the idilic Kent countryside. What a strange place 10 stops down the Strood to Tonbridge line. It kind of feels like your on a massive campsite, with lots of boats stored in the many marinas around the area. But walk actually into town, around a half an hour walk from the station and you're greeted with your typically Kent village high street. The highlight of the day was the various scattered defibrillator machines around the village, obviously there to save the lives of the older population (or not) in town, pure class.
