Another Punch Up.

Saturday 19th January. Bexley Heath, affinities.

But this one feels like the last, it must be the people I'm spending my time with, or am I just blaming others instead of myself. Surely it has something to do with the company you keep, maybe it's the drink that brings the absolute worst in me. This has got to stop. As much as I don't want to loose friends, this just seems like the only plan left. I can't upset anyone other then myself anymore.

Leeds Castle

I did not know what to expect as I had never been before, most said it was beautiful and well worth a visit but some (maybe im just getting old) said it was somewhere they took their grand ma's!!

We traveled to leeds castle on a very cold and blustery sunday afternoon. I do love the cold, wind, rain and yes there was snow, but some people just cant drive in these conditions.

When we arrived, I was very surprised. One because it was £20 to get in, although this was a yearly come when you like ticket. But other then this I was amazed at how well it was all looked after and how lovely it all look, even though it was surrounded by cold.

Some images below, as seen though my lens!

Flyer Design

See below. I made this today at work. Not just an estimator hey!!

It's a flyer for a new range of shower trays we are producing. Slab 25. 25mm thick. Hand made stone resin shower tray. Gel coated for extra shininess and durability.

A brilliant minimalist statement for any modern bathroom

Back to work.

And loving it. I was starting to get a little bored of all this Christmas and new year cheer. Thank god it's all over for another year. And let's make next time a much better experience.
Back to work. Back to early mornings and late nights. Back to estimating. Back to talking bathrooms, taps and shower wastes. Back to the cosey environment we call our office. Back to great tasting coffee. Back to being smart. Back to being me.

Nikon 1 J1 Test

I was told by quite a few friends and friends of friends, one of which a professional photographer, that the Nikon 1 was the camera for me. Purchased from Jessops a couple of days ago, they also confirmed this is what I was looking for, plus 50 pound cash back from Nikon was a plus too.

The camera itself is considerably well made. It compliments my iPhone 5 very nicely actually and that is saying something. Overall build quality is exceptional.

Use of the camera is very good too. Turn on time is a couple of seconds and its the same for it to come back to life after capturing a shot. The continuos shoot mode is fantastic but does get in the way when only wanting to take the one. The only draw back is the flip up flash. You need to press a button and up pops the flash, fine if your ready for it but a pain if your not.

Supplied were a 10-30 and a 30-110 lens, both of which are very easily changed. Battery life is exceptional too. It lasted the whole day without it even being turned off.

Would fully recommend to anyone not wanting to carry around a full dslr. A brilliant little camera and I can't wait to take it on more adventures!!

Nikon 1

Looking forward to a day out with the Nikon 1. Received for Christmas as a present from work.

Wish me luck!
