The 1st half of the background for the sleeve on my right arm, I have been working on for over 10 years now. It is definitely taking shape, connecting all the random tattoos I have across my arm.
I had originally planned for some landscape theme to fill the gaps. Starting with and progressing up my arm with; sea, sand, land, trees, lake, mountains, sky and then clouds. This massively changed when speaking to my artist as what I wanted was more a sleeve on its own. So we changed it to something simpler, old school clouds with dots and line stars throughout. It worked and I am very pleased how it has all come together.
As all my tattoos since December 2014, this work was done by Kenny at Aching Soul Dermagraphix. I enjoy my time in the chair with this guy, however, much pain he puts me through!.

Madeira
Madeira, Funchal, 04/09/2014 to 08/09/2014
Not a bad 3 and a half hour flight time spent as always in the middle of the plane sitting on a wing with no view and a screaming baby for company.
We jumped on the Areobus that took us directly into the city, what a view from the top as you approach too! Weather hits you pretty bad when walking into the day light sun, just what i needed!
As for the hotel, what a gorgeous place to call home for four nights. Very well maintained, some stunning views wherever you walked, friendly staff and all the amenities you could ask for.
They are very serious about looking after the environment here, separate bins for different waste, do we really need to wash your towel every day? although the showers are not limited to how much water a guest can use!
1st time using the self passport scanner, defiantly still a human role over a computer, too many idiots going through and not reading the signs properly.
There was plenty to do, I particularly liked the cable car ride to the top of the city, monte. With a stunning yet short walk around a corner to jump on a wooden toboggan, where you are dragged down the hills for 2km by two men dresses in white with funny hats. The CR7 museum was also really good, tonnes of medals, photographs and hat trick footballs, all confirming who the best player in the world is, Cristiano Ronaldo. Also on offer are day trips around the island, wine tasting sessions and loads of boat trips on offer with Funchal being a harbour town to.
Food was fantastic, although nothing regional, national to scream about. Although there national cake and wine where exceptionally good. Night life, there wasn't any, this is a place for the older at heart to come and unwind and chill away from the youths of today.
Fantastic time away, some photos below for you all.

The Shard
The Shard, visited 29/08/2014
Well worth the visit, shame about the extravagant cost! Its just something you have to go and see.
Enjoy what I thought were the best bits, including the toilet and men hard at work cleaning all those window panes! what a painful job.

Hot air balloon shadow
Hot air balloon shadow
Photo taken July 2013 with Nikon N1
Taken while drinking and camping in Bodiam, east Sussex
To be honest I have absolutely no idea how I managed to pull this one off, being so tipsy all afternoon. Love the way the hot air balloon is floating away into the shinning sun set. Plus I am also very amazed at how the sun shine has tried to take out every last bit of colour out of the sky.

Amsterdam
Amsterdam
10/11/2013 - 12/11/2013
Surreal moments in beautiful surroundings.....
There are 88 canals in Amsterdam, try saying this in Dutch, what a tongue twister! but honestly there are so many canals, so many opportunities for a picture.

What a beautiful city, no wonder my friend visits at least once a year, or could that be due to the hundreds of coffee shops with extremely potent smells coming out of them....
Be very careful of the cyclist, they are not afraid to run you down if you are in the way. When crossing the road, 1st look out for bikes, then cars, then the trams......
Cheese shops all over the place

Van gosh was inspiring
Anne frank made me sad
No specific Dutch cuisine
Very impressed so many Dutch Speak English. Is the due to BBC being shown on their national TV
Using those red doors must be quite embarrassing! 'red light district'

Jellyfish
Jellyfish
Picture taken with a Samsumg, something or other, was digital, but was pretty shit as well.
Although it has managed to create a stunning shot, with that shinning light echoing back from the flash, to the detailed capture of the little jellyfish swimming around their little bowl.
Is it me or do they look like there swimming around in a washing machine!!
Enjoy the photo....

Margate
Picture taken with an iPhone 4S
The best part of Margate shown in a single picture.
Although in all honesty it is a lovely beach and surrounding area, just don't venture too far into the town.
I love the way this picture really captures the colour of the sand against that wonderfully blue beach hut and deep blue sky. The Donkey in the background just says I'm standing on a British beach.

Surfing
Fistral beach June 2013
Picture taken with an Nikon N1
Who knows why I didn't give this a go but I'm pretty sure it was absolutely freezing out. Although I'm reliably informed, those swim suits isolate you from all the elements.
This image captures just that. The unsettled sky daring the divers to be brave, those dark shadows haunting the image in every light avoiding gap. And that frightening deep blue of the sea sending shivers through the surfers waiting their turn.

Festival Sun
Hard Rock Calling 2008
Picture taken with a Nikon Coolpix
Man this picture makes me reminisce. That bright shinning light attacked my eyes all day long. I couldn't wait for it to go, slowly disappearing into darkness.

Knole Park
Knole Park
Sevenoaks What a delightful little place. 1st your welcomed by a friendly herd of reindeer that literally meet you once your out of the car. Your then treated with miles of national park land. Mind the golf balls though as the area is shared with a golf club. A nice little adventure.
