Photoshopped Amsterdam Street
Photoshop, tutorial 1, 26/11/2013
Folded paper effect, excellent effect if you can find the right photograph, although this is probably better suited to Menu/Map graphics.
Very well explained, thorough and clear step by steps

Hot air balloon shadow
Hot air balloon shadow
Photo taken July 2013 with Nikon N1
Taken while drinking and camping in Bodiam, east Sussex
To be honest I have absolutely no idea how I managed to pull this one off, being so tipsy all afternoon. Love the way the hot air balloon is floating away into the shinning sun set. Plus I am also very amazed at how the sun shine has tried to take out every last bit of colour out of the sky.

To the Newquay beach
Photo taken June 2013 with Nikon N1
Shot on top of the the truly magnificent cliff tops of Lusty Glaze, Newquay, Cornwall.
I just love the texture of the blue created by the sky in the shot, it perfectly highlighting the darker blue in the sign, putting it in a dominant position in the picture.

Amsterdam
10/11/2013 - 12/11/2013
Surreal moments in beautiful surroundings.....
There are 88 canals in Amsterdam, try saying this in Dutch, what a tongue twister! but honestly there are so many canals, so many opportunities for a picture.

What a beautiful city, no wonder my friend visits at least once a year, or could that be due to the hundreds of coffee shops with extremely potent smells coming out of them....
Be very careful of the cyclist, they are not afraid to run you down if you are in the way. When crossing the road, 1st look out for bikes, then cars, then the trams......
Cheese shops all over the place

Van gosh was inspiring
Anne frank made me sad
No specific Dutch cuisine
Very impressed so many Dutch Speak English. Is the due to BBC being shown on their national TV
Using those red doors must be quite embarrassing! 'red light district'

Enjoy the pictures, I think I have capture everything there is to do in Amsterdam, although I wasn't aloud any evidence of the cities 'coffee shops'

Will the new Will Smith please stand up...
Not the best Will Smith film, he was hardly in it. Instead the action scenes where left to his son, Jaden, where we are so used to seeing Will perform. Guided by his super star dad through the lost future world of Earth, Jaden has to navigate through the dangerous planet where everything has evolved to kill humans.
Visually stunning, with some very clever use of potential future technology.

Jellyfish
Jellyfish
Picture taken with a Samsumg, something or other, was digital, but was pretty shit as well.
Although it has managed to create a stunning shot, with that shinning light echoing back from the flash, to the detailed capture of the little jellyfish swimming around their little bowl.
Is it me or do they look like there swimming around in a washing machine!!
Enjoy the photo....

World War Z
World War Z

Brad finds the way....
People told me this had no sol, they were not wrong... Thousands and thousands of 'un-dead' chasing the living like their life depended on it. World War Z was certainly not boring like some warned me, it kept me entertained throughout. The intensity in which the living are chased is immense. A great addition to the zombie genre, a differently clever version of a world apocalypse... I would defiantly watch this again. Fantastic.

HP Chromebook 14
HP Chromebook 14
Purchase date, 01/11/2013
The very last one in the shop, the display modal, only paid £175, absolute bargain. Plus this is better powered and bigger then the new more expensive girlie white HP Chromebook 11. The only thing better on it was the retina screen, not that you actually notice a difference anyway.
This machine does exactly what is says on the tin, everything works via Google chrome, even installing what you think is an app basically directs you to its mail website. Having said this, its not trying to be something its not. Everything that you need is on here, word, excel, powerpoint. Just all in a Google web based format. Great little laptop too, very well designed, not heavy not chunky, quite stylish actually, plus its black.
Cant believe I waited nearly four months to buy one, mind you, would I have got it at this price then.....

What a fabulous building and there are 3 of these monsters. Situated in the massively developing Southbank site, such a lovely area but it is slowly turning into a metropolis. Each structure contains luxury apartments worth between 1.5 and 6 million pounds.

We were invited to the penthouse suite (not sure how much this one was worth!) on the 22nd floor for a blueprint magazine 30th birthday bash. Filling this very minimalist and modern dwelling were architects and designers, all with a passion for the magazine, and of course the free champagne. One of which, a Sir Richard Rogers, who was awarded the very 1st blueprint award for his innovative involvement to the architectural scene.
Once the speeches were done we were treated to 360 degree views around central London, over looking iconic buildings like the shard, St Paul's and an illuminated London Eye. I wouldn't want to live here but I would very much spend a weekend here!!

Margate
Picture taken with an iPhone 4S
The best part of Margate shown in a single picture.
Although in all honesty it is a lovely beach and surrounding area, just don't venture too far into the town.
I love the way this picture really captures the colour of the sand against that wonderfully blue beach hut and deep blue sky. The Donkey in the background just says I'm standing on a British beach.

Surfing
Fistral beach June 2013
Picture taken with an Nikon N1
Who knows why I didn't give this a go but I'm pretty sure it was absolutely freezing out. Although I'm reliably informed, those swim suits isolate you from all the elements.
This image captures just that. The unsettled sky daring the divers to be brave, those dark shadows haunting the image in every light avoiding gap. And that frightening deep blue of the sea sending shivers through the surfers waiting their turn.

Hever Castle
Picture taken with an iPhone 5
Light has helped create something quite dramatic. Taking all of the colour out of the ground and highlighting the white in the clouds. Leaving the weathered fortress exposed to all the elements.
Such an impressive place to see, so well maintained and looked after.
I must be getting old....

Man this picture makes me reminisce. That bright shinning light attacked my eyes all day long. I couldn't wait for it to go, slowly disappearing into darkness.

Bugatti Veyron
What a car, but is it the best in the world? It's slowly being over taken by leferrari and the new Maclaren. Is it time for a new Veyron?? I think so.
This is the only one I have ever seen in the flesh anti have to say its as awesome to see as it is to look at in pictures and tv
Lucky bastards, who ever you are driving them around!!

Bodybuilding Competition
The gun show
Tonbridge 1st September 2013
A very strange thing to be invited to but when I heard more and that my brothers friend was competing it sounded like a new and fun thing to do.
I really wasn't expecting the £12 entry fee, but how many times have you been to a show like this?
Overall I enjoyed the 3 hours we spent watching the show. It was actually quite entertainting cheering on the tonned bodies with every pose they pulled.
Dave won the novice lightweight group ahead of 9 other ripped men and was invited to the national event next year. Well done Dave.
Time to get back to the gym!!

May Design Series
May 2013
A designer show with a difference. It included some bathroom products!! Which is why Crosswater was there with our new range of brassware. To be honest we didn't have much of a display. It wasn't great but it definitely served its purpose, to get our name out there to as many designers & architects as we could.
Personally im not sure if this show knew what it was but it certainly was a great couple of days, including a party on the second to last night. It's wasn't as good as the sleep event. But well tried.
Some photographs taken from the show. Enjoy the taps!!

Camping
Bodiam June 2013
Do I enjoy camping. No not really. Would I ever go camping again. Yes most probably. But why such a difference of opinion you say. Well alcohol is the only answer to that.
What else is there to do?? Drive to an empty field, find a secluded spot, struggle putting up the 17 thousand pieced tent, then blow up the most uncomfortable bed in the world.
Once that is all done and satisfied you have somewhere safe to crash, it's time for absolute carnage.
We went to park farm camping, Bodiam. Was a very relaxed site, inviting guests to start wild fires though out the night. Although there curfew was 11, we lasted into the very early hours, laughing joking and generally making arses of ourselves to the delight of the over travellers. Another great thing about camping, is it feels acceptable to open a can of cider for breakfast. A great little weekend apart from the drive home!!
